Freedom Tour Report - VICTORIA Yesterday (Fri. Oct 4th) here in Victoria we had a spectacular day with Irma, Aleida and Mario. The only thing that went wrong was that we were told they would get to the airport at 1:30pm. We weren't told that that was Calgary time. So instead of us welcoming our guests our guests welcomed us. A number of friends came to the airport including a photographer and a reporter from the Times Colonist newspaper. From there we went to another reception with more friends and community representatives. There a reporter from the Martlet student newspaper also showed up. Then there was a quick tour of Victoria. Next was a potluck supper which we had to make sure that not too many people showed up because of available space. And for the finale we went to our destination at our public event hall which got fully packed with over 400 people to welcome and listen to our guests. The Vancouver island TV also showed up there. We hope that the tour continues to educate our country on this issue and that we can add to the pressure building up to release the five. Hasta la victoria siempre!
