[Cuba vs. Bloqueo]

Overwhelming Victory for Cuba -- U.S. More Isolated than Ever

On October 26, the United Nations for the 19th consecutive time voted to demand an end to the U.S. criminal blockade of Cuba,  which has been in place for more than 48 years. By a vote of 187 to 2 (United States and Israel), with 3 absentions (the Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Palau), the international community repudiated Washington's economic war against Cuba.  What stands out is not only that Cuba recieved the same massive number of votes (187, more than 97% of UN member countries) as in 2009 but that the the U.S. is even more isolated, able to muster only one other vote besides its own (representing only 1.04% of UN members). The CNC congratulates Cuba on this resounding victory, which demonstrates the immense respect and support that the Cuban Revolution has globally.
