Convention of the Canadian Network On Cuba in Toronto City Hall. After the acknowledgment that delegates and
guests were meeting on traditional and unceded indigenous territory, Chief
Laforme of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation opened the
convention with a poignant message on the unity and fraternity of the world’s

On the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the Canadian Network on Cuba, on behalf of the Canada-Cuba friendship and solidarity movement, extends our warmest and most heartfelt greetings to the Cuban people, the Cuban government and Cuba’s revolutionary leadership. This anniversary is especially poignant and bittersweet as it is the first commemoration without the physical presence of Compañero Fidel, the historic leader and founder of the Cuban Revolution. Cuba’s President Raúl Castro observed that while Fidel has left us, “Fidel left undefeated." |
