Cuba Elected to Human Rights Council Print E-mail

UNITED NATIONS.—The decision made by the UN General Assembly to reelect Cuba to the Human Rights Council (HRC) for a three-year period, is a solid recognition of work undertaken by the country in this context, according to Anayansi Rodríguez, Cuban ambassador to international organizations based in Geneva.

Consider for a moment what would happen if American intelligence agents on the ground in a foreign country uncovered a major terrorist plot, with enough time to prevent it. And then consider how Americans would react if authorities in that country, rather than cooperate with us, arrested and imprisoned the U.S. agents for operating on their soil.
