CSC Campaign News - Tuesday, 15 December 2015 - One year ago the final three members of the Miami Five returned home, and Cuba and the US made historic announcements that they would establish diplomatic relations.

Toronto, November 27, 2015. As a result of an invitation of the University of Toronto, Dr. Mariela Castro Espín, Director of the National Center for Sex Education in Cuba (CENESEX) and Member of the National People's Assembly, paid a working visit to Toronto from 18 to 25 November, where she had academic and professional exchanges with institutions working in the area of the rights of LGBTQ communities in Canada.

November 28, 2015 - TML - A lively and successful public event to mark the 40th Anniversary of Operación Carlota -- Cuba's mission to Angola from 1975 to 1988, as well as Cuba's other contributions to Africa, took place November 13-14 in Toronto. The event, "Africa's Children Return!," was held at the Steelworkers' Hall and organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba, the Chair of Black Canadian Studies at Dalhousie University, the Canada-Cuba Friendship Association (Toronto), A Different Booklist bookstore and others. The Cuban Consul General in Toronto Mr. Javier Dómokos Ruiz was also present at the event.

November 11, 2015 (Cuba Solidarity Campaign) The Court of Appeal has overturned the Home Office decision to deny René González, a member of the Miami Five, a visa to enter Britain.

An historic ruling by the Court of Appeal on Tuesday 10 November has opened the door for Mr González to visit Britain, despite twice being denied a visa to visit by the British government in 2014.
