FREE ALL THE CUBAN 5 NOW!
The year 2013 has passed with great victories in the continued struggle to free our 5 heroes. As we look together towards 2014, we are sure that there will be many more victories and challenges in our campaign for justice.
Vancouver will honour our 100th consecutive monthly picket action in front of the U.S. Consulate for freedom for ALL of the 5 Cuban Heroes on March 5, 2014. On this important day, the Free the Cuban 5 Committee -Vancouver invites you to join us at events to honour the 100th picket. Following the March 5th action in Vancouver, there are also events with Stephen Kimber, His Excellency Julio Garmendía Peña, and Miraly González González, the First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Canada, in Nanaimo, Kamloops, Seattle and Victoria from March 5- 8. As well, March 5th has become an International Day of Action when groups across Canada, the US and around the world will be organizing events in solidarity with our 5 heroes and Vancouver's milestone 100th monthly picket action. So far, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto are organizing actions on March 5th, as well as San Francisco, USA and more cities around the world to come!
