Cuba: Life saver not terrorist. Reverse Pompeo/Trump designation. Print E-mail
Read and sign this important petition by the National Network on Cuba:

Cuba's Henry Reeve Brigade sends doctors on request to COVID-19 hot spots and natural disasters. Cuba saves lives. Its contribution is valued and recognized around the world.

Yet, on January 11, discredited President Trump's State Department added Cuba to its unilateral list of "state sponsors of terrorism". This action has nothing to do with terrorism, but everything to do with making life harder for the Cuban people.

Donation breaks the U.S. blockade against Cuba in Covid-19 times Print E-mail
Havana, Feb 3 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Wednesday noted that a recent donation of medical supplies to the country counteracts the effects of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

On his Twitter account, the president expressed gratitude for the shipment arranged by the Juan Gualberto Gomez Association of Cubans in Toronto, Canada, to contribute to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

'The solidarity of the Juan Gualberto Gomez Association of Cubans Residents in Toronto and of Canadian individuals and institutions united in the Yes for Cuba project is very welcomed. It is of great value your help to fight the #blockade and #COVID19. Thank you. #CubaAlive,' he tweeted.

News Release: Medical Supplies for Cuba Campaign Print E-mail
January 8, 2021

The Canadian Network on Cuba is proud to initiate a vibrant fundraising campaign across Canada to raise $50,000 for greatly needed medical supplies for Cuba. This will be a 3-month campaign to fill and ship a container with the critical supplies that Cuba needs.

The campaign launch is on January 8, the date of the victorious arrival in Havana of the Rebel Army, led by Fidel Castro in 1959. Fidel Castro’s forward-looking policies have led to Cuba’s distinguished medical accomplishments, and international humanitarian aid around the world. Cuba’s Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.
