Cuba's Molecular Immunology Center Increases Exports

Havana, Jan 16 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Molecular Immunology Center fulfilled last year's annual export plan, and it currently maintains the progressive administration of a therapeutic vaccine against lung cancer.

Executives from the center, attached to the scientific complex in western Havana, stated that nearly 20 countries have increased their purchases of medicines and other pharmaceuticals, as well as the number of clinical trials abroad.

Iran's President Ends Cuba Visit

Havana, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday concluded his official visit to Cuba, from where he departed to Ecuador, to end his Latin American tour that also took him to Venezuela and Nicaragua.

Ahmadinejad, who also met with the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, told the press that relations between Cuba and Iran are excellent.

Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad Arrives in Cuba

Havana, Jan 11.- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived on Tuesday in Cuba, where he will carry out a broad agenda for promoting bilateral relations.

Ahmadinejad and his delegation were welcomed at the Jose Marti International Airport in this capital by Vice President Esteban Lazo.

Fidel Castro Sends Wreath in Honour of Martha Voisin

Paris, Jan. 6 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro sent a wreath in tribute to Martha Rosine-Voisin, widow of scientist Andre Voisin and close friend of Cuba, who will be buried today in the town of Arches The Bataille.

Through the Embassy of Cuba in France, Fidel Castro also sent his heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of Mrs. Voisin, who died at the age of 105 years.

Parliamentary Commissions Debate 2012 Projections Print E-mail

The 12 permanent commissions of the National Assembly of People's Power have initiated their discussions on the draft economic plan and budget for 2012 in their areas of competence.

According to the parliamentary agenda, on December 21 and 22, the working groups will base their discussions on the agreements of the 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba in relation to the updating of the country’s economic model.

In addition to the plans for next year, they are to address issues of interest to the population in the context of this updating and the detection of problems by the deputies themselves or their electors.
