The U.S. Helms-Burton Act was conceived to codify and tighten the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba in 1962 for the purpose of subverting and overthrowing the Cuban government and imposing a regime to the liking of the U.S. government.

La Asociación de Cubanos Residentes en Toronto “Juan Gualberto Gómez” rechaza la última decisión del gobierno canadiense de cesar el procesamiento de visas en su embajada en La Habana para visitantes a Canadá. Estos tendrán que viajar ahora a la Ciudad de México, con el consiguiente gasto económico y malestar, sobre todo para personas mayores.
