More than 45 Countries Confirmed for Havana Trade Fair

Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment (MINCEX), said today that more than 45 nations have confirmed their participation in the 28th International Fair of Havana, FIHAV 2010.

Again, Spain will have a very prominent presence and retain the status of country with the largest exhibition area, while the European Union will attend with new products and services.

Venezuela will come to the front of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our Americas (ALBA). The most important trading partners of Cuba, China, Canada, Brazil, Vietnam and Russia will also be present, states a report by news agency Prensa Latina.

The Cuban pavilion will have five thousand square meters of space where 106 companies will exhibit, including a considerable number of exporters and importers of goods and services.

Annually, the event fosters important business meetings, to promote exports and to evaluate potential business in various fields, including biotechnology, information technology and pharmaceuticals.

FIHAV 2010 is the largest event for businessmen on the island and one of the most prestigious in Latin America, with great success for the foreign businessmen and official delegations.

Its opening is scheduled for November 1st at the EXPOCUBA showground.
